Soaring High Through ROTC

Stormy Elrod, an exercise science major with a minor in nutrition and military science, found her calling in the ROTC program. Initially drawn to UTC for convenience, Stormy fell in love with the supportive community. As Battalion Commander in ROTC, Stormy honed her leadership skills and is now set to become a Second Lieutenant in the Army and pursue a career in Army Aviation.

Building a Legacy of Leadership

Travis Smith II, a Communication major with a minor in Professional Sales, made the most of his time at UTC. Highly involved in organizations like Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and the Student Government Association, Travis is a natural leader. After graduation, Travis has his sights set on Public Service or Marketing, while also building his own brand in the nightlife industry.

Jamie Alexander isn’t your typical graduate. After completing her undergraduate degree in Marketing, Jamie returned to UTC to pursue an MBA in Healthcare Administration. Highly involved on campus, Jamie credits UTC with providing the skills and connections to launch her career in the Pharmaceutical or Medical Device Industry.

Beyond the Crown

Dominique Harris, a double major in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology & Nutrition, isn’t just about winning crowns. As a member of the Ladies of GOLD and the 2023 Homecoming Queen, Dominique is passionate about public health and physical therapy. Her future plans include a Master’s in Public Health and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

Civil Engineering major Remington Cross found a unique way to get involved at UTC – creating UTC Survivor, a campus favorite. Remington’s passion for water resources engineering will take him to Stantec after graduation. But don’t be surprised to see him back on campus for some friendly intramural competition.
