2025 Outstanding Teacher Award Nomination
The University of Tennessee Alumni Association Outstanding Teacher Award is presented annually to two UTC teachers to recognize faculty members’ commitment to UTC students during their educational journey. This person will have excellent competence in their academic area and uphold the highest professional integrity and standards. Nominees can communicate and motivate students and be willing to engage outside the classroom.
It includes a $1,000 award for each recipient, an accompanying certificate, and an invitation to the UTAA Board of Governors reception and dinner.
All full-time UTC faculty members are eligible except the award winners from the last five years listed below.
2020 Dr. Lisa Burke-Smalley and Dr. Hunter Holzhauer
2021 Dr. Kira Robison and Dr. Joshua Hamblen
2022 Dr. Fang Yu Hu and Ms. Katherine Kinnear
2023 Dr. Spencer Usrey and Dr. Karen Babine
2024 Dr. Andrew Bailey and Dr. Jose Barbosa
