Engineering Success In Softball and Beyond

Acelynn Sellers, from Dalton, Georgia, graduated from UTC’s College of Engineering and Computer Science while competing as a Division I softball student‑athlete. After transitioning into a five‑year Chemical Engineering program, she balanced demanding coursework with athletics and leadership involvement. Through a National Science Foundation research experience and hands‑on engineering opportunities, Acelynn discovered a passion for applied problem‑solving.

Building Community Through Business and the Arts

Anna Grace earned her degree from UTC’s Rollins College of Business while remaining deeply involved in the university’s music program. A member of the marching band and wind ensemble, she balanced her passion for the arts with a business career focus. Through an early internship that led to a full‑time role, Anna Grace discovered the value of community, leadership and meaningful professional experience.

Aniken Johnson, a Tennessee native, will graduate as part of UTC’s newest College of Nursing. Through rigorous coursework and hands‑on clinical experiences across the Chattanooga community, he discovered a calling to serve others through health care. As he prepares to begin his career in nursing, Aniken hopes to provide compassionate, patient‑centered care while continuing to grow both professionally and personally.

Creating Purpose, Community and Justice

Being raised in a bilingual Colombian‑American household, Nicole Bravo Perez earned her degree in criminal justice with a forensic science certificate at UTC. She discovered a passion for her field through coursework and hands‑on experience as a crime scene unit intern with the Chattanooga Police Department. With plans to pursue a master’s degree, Nicole hopes to become a crime scene investigator and serve the community that has shaped her journey.

Montrell Henderson, a defensive tackle on the football team, completed his degree in sport, outdoor recreation and tourism management. As he prepares to train for the professional football draft while pursuing opportunities in sports management, Montrell hopes to inspire others to work hard, stay focused and take initiative in reaching their goals.
