The UTC Office of Alumni Affairs is excited to welcome Hannah Engelbrecht (’23) as the new alumni engagement coordinator. In this role, Hannah will lead initiatives and events designed to strengthen connections between recent graduates, students and the broader alumni community. She brings a strong background in events and marketing, along with her firsthand experience as a UTC graduate committed to fostering meaningful alumni relationships.
Born in Michigan and raised primarily in Chattanooga, Hannah is no stranger to UTC. After graduating with degrees in English and theatre, she actively participated in campus life. She stage-managed productions like “Into the Woods” and “Feathers and Teeth,” served as assistant editor for The Sequoya Review and produced events with The Perch. Her final production, “Into the Woods,” stands out vividly as a rewarding experience.
For Hannah, being a Moc is about more than school pride, it’s about connection and community.
“Being a Moc means enjoying all these moments alongside others who proudly wear blue and gold”
Hannah’s professional journey led her naturally back to UTC when she discovered the Alumni Engagement Coordinator opportunity. She is eager to strengthen relationships between recent graduates and the broader alumni community, ensuring everyone feels connected and welcome. She is particularly excited about upcoming events like Homecoming and new initiatives for recent graduates.
Her goal for the first year? To foster meaningful alumni connections and encourage broad participation across all classes. On a lighter note, Hannah also hopes to encourage her own friends to attend alumni events. And for a fun fact: Hannah has a hedgehog named Dobby, who, true to his name, is particularly fond of socks.
